This is a old warehouse floor. The video shows how to grind and polish to get a high gloss polished concrete floor with heavily exposed aggregate. The grinding started with grit metal bond diamond tooling to expose the aggregate in the floor. Wet grinding was used to produce the floor and a lithium based silicate densifier/hardener was used to assist in the concrete polishing process. The floor was polished to a high gloss finish using resin bond diamond tooling and sealed with a lithium densifier based polished concrete sealer. The floor was then burnished with a hogs hair pad and a high speed propane burnisher.

Marble Renewal Concrete Polishing Division suggest just SOME of the Benefits to Concrete Floors for Everyday Living are:

Sustainability.
Concrete floors are a sustainable option if you use an existing concrete slab, avoiding the consumption of new materials. And they need not be relegated to basements or garages. Once the concrete is sanded down and polished or sealed, it looks perfectly refined in a traditional kitchen or living room, especially when layered with Oriental rugs and pretty furnishings and fixtures.

Easy care.
The only maintenance required of concrete floors is weekly mopping with soapy water.

Longevity.
A floor that has been polished and maintained can be expected to last a hundred years or more. In this home, let’s appreciate how an aged and cracked concrete floor was not hidden under new tiles or carpet. Instead it is celebrated for the history it holds, and has been put on display along with other architecturally salvaged materials.

Versatility.
Polished concrete can be used for an indoor outdoor transition, with lithium based silicate sealers providing protection for the floor both indoors and outdoors. Concrete also looks nice with actual stone veneer walls. It accentuates their rustic appeal. Concrete can be stained or tinted almost any colour you can imagine!
